The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology is happy to announce the International Conference on Materials, Analysis & Advanced Manufacturing (MA’AM-23) which will be held during 31st October & 01st November, 2023 at our Institution premises. The aim of the MA’AM-23 is to create a platform and facilitate knowledge sharing on advances in Materials, Charatcterization, Analysis & Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing for distinguished academicians, practitioners and researchers from academia and Industry.

About Vel Tech

The Trust founded by the Educational-Philanthropic Personalities, Dr. R. Rangarajan and Dr. Sagunthala Rangarajan, the Founder President and the Foundress President respectively, promoted the erstwhile Veltech Engineering College established in 1997 as Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology in 2008 with the approval of UGC u/s 3 of Act 1956.
The Institution is accredited with A++ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).The Institution offers Undergraduate, Post-graduate and Doctoral Programs in Engineering and Technology, Science, Media Technology and Communication and Management Studies. The 210 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) signed by the Institution with Government Institutions, Universities, Industrial undertakings, MNCs and R&D organization are fostering to enhance the standards in teaching, research and consultancy activities. In Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2017, the Institution was ranked 43rd among top 50 Universities in Asia and 74th among top 100 among young Universities in the world. The Ministry of Human Resources Department (MHRD), Government of India under National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for 2018, 77th rank among Engineering Institutions in India. It is the first member of Conceive Design Implement Operate (CDIO) initiative from India.

About School of Mechanical and Construction Engineering

The School of Mechanical and Construction Engineering comprises the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME), Aeronautical Engineering (AE), Automobile Engineering (Auto) and Civil Engineering (CE). It offers UG, PG and Ph.D Programs in all Departments. This school concentrates on educating all aspects of Mechanical and Construction Engineering including Machinery, Automation, Manufacturing, Building Construction Services, Computer-Aided Design, etc required for understanding the fundamentals of Mechanical and Construction Engineering. The programs prepare the candidates to be solution seekers and contribute to the varied range of industries and market. The Department of Mechanical Engineering started in the year 2001, and produces graduates, who can meet the rapidly changing needs of the mechanical core industry which demands the new skills.

Objectives

The primary objectives of MA’AM-23 are to:

Provide a platform for international researchers to share their new findings / innovative applications in Materials, Analysis & Advanced Manufacturing with peers.
Facilitate networking among leading academicians, scientists, researchers, engineers and industry professionals for fostering collaborative research.

Outcomes

The outcomes MA’AM-23 are

Enhanced understanding of scope for researching in the areas of one’s interest
Revelation of contemporary thinking on future research
Constructive suggestions for overcoming snags in research ideas
Nomination of the papers presented in the conference for inclusion in SCI and Scopus Indexed Journals

Scope

Ever growing diverse needs of people necessitate innovative thinking for engineering intelligent things and applications. It is essential to possess interdisciplinary knowledge for engineering intelligent things and applications. The MA’AM-23 would provide scope for sharing advanced knowledge in Materials, Analysis & Advanced Manufacturing encompassing interdisciplinary areas. Further, it would foster networking of researchers across the globe for initiating collaborative research and its continuance.

Preceded Conferences

Vel Tech is continuously organizing International Conference on Design and Analysis of Aerospace and Automobile Engineering, (IDAD) once in every two years. Further Department of Mechanical Engineering is organizing National Conference on Design, Materials, Cryogenics and Constructions in every year and also organized one international conference in this version ICDMC19.

Call for Paper Submission

The papers submitted would be peer reviewed and such of those papers recommended by the re- viewers are scheduled for presentation. However, it is mandatory that atleast one of the authors would register for presenting the paper. The papers presented would be published in the conference proceedings, in print as well as electronic form. On the recommendation of the reviewers / session chairs, the papers presented would be nominated for inclusion in SCI and Scopus indexed journals subject to the satisfaction of the Rules and Regulations.

Submission Guidelines

Abstract of about 250 words should be submitted through email : [email protected]
Abstracts must include a clear indication of the purpose of research, source of data, methodology, major results, implications and key references.
All submissions will be reviewed and authors of accepted abstracts should submit the full paper not more than 7 pages.
Accepted papers will be published in SCI and Scopus indexed Journals.

Note: The authors shall submit their full length paper in MS Word Document (single column) as attachment to Email id: [email protected]

Publications

Conference Proceedings and Journals

The papers accepted for oral presentation would be published in the proceedings of conference in electronic form with ISBN, provided that at least one of authors of the paper should be registered for attending the conference by paying the prescribed registration fee. The registration fee includes conference kit, refreshments and working lunch. Further, the extended version of the presented papers would be recommended for publication in reputed Journal (indexed by SCI/Scopus) with the consent of authors with extra processing fee.
