About Dean of School of Computing

Dr. Chokkalingam S. P.
Dr. S.P. Chokkalingam, Dean, School of Computing, with a distinguished career that includes served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai. He brings 24 years of academic experience and 1.5 years of industrial experience to his role. Prior to his tenure at Amrita, Dr. Chokkalingam was the Program Director of the CSE Department and Dean of Academics at Saveetha School of Engineering, Saveetha University, Chennai.
His research interests span Big Data, .NET Framework, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Python Programming

Dr. V. Dhilip Kumar
About Associate Dean of School of Computing
V. Dhilip Kumar is working as a Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Computing at Vel Tech University. Previously, he was working as the Head of the Department in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Vel Tech R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. He was awarded a PhD from North Eastern Hill University (A Central University of India). He has more than 15 years of experience in teaching as well as research. He did his B.Tech in Information Technology and M.E. in Computer Science Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. He completed his Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in collaboration with the University of Suceava and Green Soft, Lasi, Romania.
He has published various international journals and international conferences in the field of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, IoT, wireless communication, and vehicular communication. He is an editorial board member and reviewer of various international journals and conferences such as Springer, Frontiers, MDPI, IGI Global, etc. His areas of interest include Deep Learning, wireless communication, Software-defined networks, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, and Expert Systems, etc.
Currently, he is working on Govt-funded projects, DBT Marine Biotechnology and DBT North Eastern Region, in the field of Precision Aquaculture and Precision Agriculture worth Rs. 1.2 Crores using IoT and Deep Learning. He is guiding 7 PhD scholars and has guided 4 PhD scholars in the field of Machine Learning for Healthcare, Precision Agriculture, and Computer Vision. He has published 60+ Science citation-indexed and Scopus-indexed journals in IEEE Transactions, Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, and various reputed journals.
About Assistant Dean of School of Computing

Dr. R. Parthasarathy
Dr. R. Parthasarathy serves as Professor and Assistant Dean in the School of Computing at Vel Tech University. He previously held the position of Head of the Department of Computer Science and Design at Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. He earned his Ph.D. from Anna University and holds both B.E. and M.E. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai.
With over 15 years of experience in teaching and research, Dr. R. Parthasarathy has made significant contributions in the areas of VANET, MANET, and Machine Learning. He has published extensively in reputed international journals and conferences, including several Science Citation Index (SCI) and Scopus-indexed journals. He also serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for various international journals and conferences. Currently, he is supervising four Ph.D. scholars.
