The students of the department are exposed to work with the Industries and Research Institutes from the date of joining the programme, to cater the cutting edge, technologies practiced by the Industries. This is achieved through the Industry Academia relation with TAFE, ARAI, WABCO, CIRT and many others. In addition to the classroom teaching, the department brings the Industry experts to deliver the special lectures. The students are taking up internship opportunity at France & Germany. The department has well qualified faculty members from renowned Academic Institutes such as NITs, IITs and also from Industries background. The overseas agreement made by the department paves way for further studies with countries like USA, Taiwan, Germany, France.

The light weight, low cost and foldable electric scooter project developed by our students under the category of micro mobility with speed range of under 50 kmph. The prime focus on portability and the ergonomics and it will much efficient where traffic congestion and requirement of local commute to work and school.
The Department encourages the students to take part in various competitions like International Students Car Competitions held in South Korea - SAE-SUPRA, SAE-BAJA, e-BAJA, SAE- e-BIKE, etc.,
Students regularly win various awards and prizes in the competitions like “Best of Best Creative Technology Award”, “Best Driver Award” and “Best Cross Pad Award” and “Best Suspension and Traction Award”

Our students developed customized design of car, suspension, disc and steering system. This vehicle is designed to participate in the KASA car competition South Korea 2019 under Electric Formula style category.
