Professional and Student Club Activities

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering actively promotes professional development and engagement through its association with several prestigious professional societies, technical chapters, and student clubs. The department has consistently maintained active memberships and organized numerous professional and technical events aimed at strengthening students’ technical expertise and domain knowledge. An active IEEE Student Branch functions within the department, which includes the Computer Society, Computational Intelligence Society, and the Women in Engineering (WIE) affinity group.

In addition, the Computer Society of India (CSI) student chapter functions actively, providing students with opportunities to participate in technical workshops, seminars, hackathons, and knowledge-sharing sessions. These professional platforms enable students to collaborate, innovate, and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

A vibrant campus environment is considered essential for the holistic development of students. Various student-led clubs act as platforms for self-expression, critical thinking, and the identification and showcasing of hidden talents.

1		ANIMATRIX & DESIGN CLUB	The Animatrix & Design Club enriches students’ knowledge in character animation and game application design. The Design Club also creates innovative logos, banners, university magazines, and other creative designs.
2		CODING CLUB	Focused on trending technologies in Computer Science, the Coding Club improves algorithmic and programming skills to solve real-world problems.
3		NATURE CLUB	Develops awareness and interest in the natural environment through meetings, talks, workshops, study groups, and field trips.
4		INNOVATION CLUB	Encourages students to engage in innovative and creative activities while providing opportunities for hands-on learning experiences.
5		CORPORATE CLUB	The Corporate Club prepares students for corporate careers by motivating them to develop qualities required for professional interviews and work environments.
6		STUDENT MAGAZINE CLUB	Aims to bring ideas and discussions from fields such as history, politics, economics, literature, philosophy, and Indian culture.

13		WEB AND MOBILE APPLICATION DESIGN CLUB	Develops students’ creativity and technical knowledge in designing modern web and mobile applications.
14		SHORT FILM AND MOVIE APPRECIATION CLUB	Conducts short film and documentary competitions and trains students to critically review films, TED talks, and visual media.
15		CO-ORDINATORS CLUB	Helps students register in professional bodies such as IEEE, CSI, ISTE, IEI, and other technical organizations.
16		CYBER SECURITY CLUB	Promotes internet safety awareness and trains students in cyber and information security to protect individuals from cybercrime.
