Dean Soc

Dr. S.P. Chokkalingam, Dean, School of Computing, with a distinguished career that includes served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai. He brings 24 years of academic experience and 1.5 years of industrial experience to his role. Prior to his tenure at Amrita, Dr. Chokkalingam was the Program Director of the CSE Department and Dean of Academics at Saveetha School of Engineering, Saveetha University, Chennai.

His research interests span Big Data, .NET Framework, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Python Programming. Dr. Chokkalingam has successfully supervised 5 PhD scholars and is currently guiding 2 PhD research scholars. Additionally, he has mentored 25 M.E. projects and has served as a Doctoral Committee Member for 6 PhD research scholars at Anna University, Chennai.

His extensive experience and leadership have made significant contributions to both academic and professional communities.
