The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 1997 affiliated to Madras University. The department has grown to current strength of 2700 students from a humble beginning with 250 students. The department is equipped with the latest state-of- the-art laboratories. The department has a dedicated team of faculty members with 13 Professors, 16 Associate Professors and 119 Assistant Professors. Department offers a wide range of activities in Cloud computing, Bio-informatics, Networking, Data Mining, Text Mining, Cyber Security, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning & Internet of Things. Doctoral students are currently pursuing Research in the above-listed areas.
Activities in Research outcomes are presented/published in national/ international conferences/ journals.The students can become members of CSI, IEEE-CS, IEEE-PCS, IEEE-WIE, ACM & IET and participate various activities through these professional body. The students have been placed with leading MNC’s like Accenture, Wipro, ZOHO, KAAR technologies, TCS, Microsoft, Infosys, Capgemini and CTS. Our students have achieved a Guinness World Record on International Day of people with disabilities by forming large human wheel chair with strength of 1500.
